A Summer of Industry in the District

Note: Industry Changes have been delayed until the 22 July Release and will not be on TQ on 3 June.

This summer, industry is being shaken up with multiple changes impacting industry across the cluster (Devblogs: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6  Dev Posts: A, B, C).   High-sec industrialist are lamenting the "gross" advantages that null-sec will have and the resulting exodus of their labors to inaccessible null (despite the data).

Providence and the District are however not inaccessible to neutrals and Providence friendly entities (check your status here).  For the frontier industrialist, the District offers access to all four Outpost variants and Providence's leading market hub (F-YH5B) within 4-jumps, all with offices available.  While exact details from the upgrade team (see Devblogs) remain vague, an initial estimate is that District teams and facilities will cost the capsuleer industrialist less than 1% the cost of the end-item*.

*Unless of course a system some how exceeds 0.04% of the Global Job's Fraction of Production/Research hours

The District's Outposts are at various stages of upgrade, enabling the District to optimize much of our future infrastructure based on how the changes pan out.  These facilities already compete with starbase based facilities in terms of costs.  While the fuel cost for a starbase will run at a minimum 100m ISK/month, office rentals in the District are only 50M ISK/month.

In addition, the District has a policy in place for interested individuals and corporations to establish Planetary Colonies throughout the District.  As the local infrastructure, mining, and industrial markets mature, opportunities in the ongoing development of the District will also increase.

Places in the Fourth District - refining outpost "Griffin Door"

The Caldari Navy Outpost in Z-RFE3 solar system, designated “CNO Griffin Door” is the smallest populated station with only a few hundred thousand. But thanks to the numerous asteroid belts in the system and upgraded sensors for detecting hidden mining belts, Z-RFE3 is the most popular place to be if you are a miner by heart. The rough looking outpost is a minmatar designed refinery station and has seen its share of battles. One of the first to be built in the area time has started to take out its rights, the inside looks slightly better than the outside, and some of the more not so picky capsuleers enjoys a session or two in the bars on the station. Today many repairs are under way to keep the station operational and give both alliance members and other consumers the opportunity to make good ISK on the ore found in the system. Many capsuleers have made Z-RFE3 there second home from that of 3KB-J0.

The station is named after the CEO of Allied Investments and Holdings Corporation Mr. Griffin Door. He made a strong argument in the early days of the Districts developments in the constellation that many saw that he deserved to give his name to the station. The giant gas planet is just one of eight planets that of course also give a solar system more material for the alliance to use. Z-RFE3 is one of the major contributors for the alliance and it’s important that it continues to be a major hot spot for miners.
